When: Saturday October 25th, 2008 registration from noon – 12:45 PM EST. Matches to start at 1:00 PM EST

Where: Game Centers all over the U.S. You must be physically at Strike Zone Gaming to participate.

Time: Check-in starts at noon EST, Matches start promptly at 1:00 PM EST. No new bands will be accepted after 12:45 PM EST.

Cost: $15 per player which includes a FREE day pass when tournament is finished.

Prize: Recognition as the #1 band at Video Game Centers in the United States and if band from SZG wins the band members each get a 10 FREE Hours!!!

Rules:

- Format of the tournament is Double Elimination. You must lose twice to be eliminated. A team that loses may still come back and win the entire tournament from the loser's bracket

- Seeding will be random. Finishing place for this tournament will determine seeding for any future events.

- Band vs. Band matches will take place over Xbox LIVE except for any match-ups between bands at the same game center

- When bands match-up at the same center they will play a normal Xbox LIVE band vs. band match unless the center has only one Rock Band 2 set.

- If a center only has one Rock Band 2 set the higher seed team will play first. They will play the song that they picked and then immediately play the song that the lower seed team picked. Following their performance the lower seed team will play the higher seed song first followed by their own song. The scores will determine the winner of both songs. If they are tied after this process the lower seed team will play the tiebreaker song first since they are already set-up on the system.

- A maximum of 4 bands can participate from each game center.

Format:

- Matches are best 2 out of 3 songs.

- A band consists of 3 instruments: Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums. Vocals will not be used for this competition.

- A band may have 4 members and rotate between songs. All 4 members must be checked-in and paid before the tournament starts. You may not add new members to your band once the tournament has started.

- The Higher seed band will host the match and choose the first song.

- At the end of the first song the band with the highest score receives a win and the scores are recorded.

- The second song is hosted and picked by the lower seed band.

- At the end of the second song the band with the highest score receives a win and the scores are recorded.

- If both bands win 1 song each the tiebreaker song is picked and hosted by the band with the highest combined score total.

- Only Official Rock Band 2 songs from the game disc are available for this tournament (no downloaded songs are allowed at this event however in future events we may add some downloaded songs)

- A band may not pick the same song twice in a match.

- A band may not pick the same song against another band that they have faced in the same tournament previously. For example if two bands face off in the winner's bracket and then meet each other again in the loser's bracket neither band may pick the songs they used in the first match-up.

- All disputes will be settled by the tournament officials and all decisions are final.

- If there is a hardware failure or any other problems during a song the song will be restarted. Any finished songs before that song in the same match will still be counted.

- If the same band has more than one technical problem in the tournament they will be warned. A third technical problem for any band may result in a song loss given by the tournament official. Beyond 3 technical problems during the event the tournament officials reserve the right to give the band a loss for the match-up and/or remove them from the tournament.
